Regina & Nivetha Turns ‘Shakini Dhakini’

Director Sudheer Varma is currently working on a lady-oriented film with Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas. Touted to be the official remake of the Korean film Midnight Runners, the film is in the pre-production stage. The latest reports in the film nagar reveal to us that the movie has been titled ‘Shakini Dhakini’.

Midnight Runners tells the story of two students from a police academy. The film is all about their journey into busing the gang of human traffickers. The original had two male actors in the leads but the makers changed the script to suit two female actors. Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas will reprise the lead roles from the original.

Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions and Sunitha Tati of Guru Films will jointly produce the film. They earlier remade the Korean film Miss Granny in Telugu as Oh Baby with Samantha.

Shakini and Dhakini are the names of female demons in mythological books. The title surely has a catchy element and we hope that the film too satisfies the audiences in all aspects.

Apart from this, Suresh Babu is also planning a couple of other Korean remakes in Telugu.
