The controversy surrounding the film ‘Indian 2’ involving the director and producers has reached the Madras High Court with Lyca Productions banner filing a petition against director Shankar. Lyca in its petition urged the court to give a ban on Shankar from directing any other film until he wraps up ‘Indian 2.’
Instead of a ban, the Madras High Court informed Lyca to resolve this issue amicably and later asked director Shankar to file a counter petition. The other day the ‘2.0’ director submitted his petition and in it, he threw the blame on Ugalanayagan Kamal Haasan and Lyca Productions.
“Kamal Haasan had a make-up allergy after which the film was delayed due to the crane accident. The shooting was delayed due to Coronavirus restrictions in the state and I’m not responsible for any loss incurred during the film’s production process,” stated Shankar in his petition.
The director also mentioned that scenes involving actor Vivek needed to be reshot but the actor passed away recently. This would cause another delay.
Now that Shankar has filed his petition, the case would come for hearing on June 4th.
