Director Alphonse Puthren made an entry into films with the 2013 black comedy thriller Neram. But it was the 2015 romantic drama Premam that brought him wide fame. In a recent interaction on Facebook, Puthren revealed that he has a story for Rajinikanth and is trying to making it happen for a long time.
Replying to a fan’s question on Facebook, Alphonse Puthren said that he tried to make a film with Rajini after Premam. He also tried approaching the Super Star but it didn’t happen. Puthren added he will definitely work with Rajini one day. He hoped that God will take care of the rest of the work if he does half of it. He also stated that God is currently busy fighting COVID-19 and thus, he will approach Rajini sometime later.
We have to see if this interesting combination materializes in the coming days. Meanwhile, Puthren took a six-year-long break after Premam. Only a few months ago he announced his new project Paattu, which features Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.
