Senior Actor Chandramohan Announces Retirement

A lot of senior actors who entertained us over the decades are enabling inactive mode when it comes to doing new films. Chandra Mohan is one such actor. After playing a key role in Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham, Chandra Mohan is not seen in any noted film. On the occasion of his 81st birthday on Sunday, the senior actor officially confirmed his retirement. Chandra Mohan cited health-related issues as the reason for taking such a decision.

With an experience of over 55 films and more than 932 movies, Chandra Mohan’s journey in movies is a glorious one. Starting his career as a hero, the actor went on to do supporting roles, character artist, and comedian in multiple languages. On Sunday, Chandra Mohan interacted with multiple media houses to talk about a lot of things about his career and life in general.

Chandra Mohan underwent bypass surgery after Rakhi. Until then, he did not realize how important it is to keep one’s self healthy. He used to joke to his colleagues that he is an iron man and nothing would happen to him. However, his approach towards life changed after Rakhi. Chandra Mohan also suffered health issues during Duvvada Jagannatham because of which he had to postpone the shoot. Chandra Mohan revealed the same and added that it is never good to keep a producer waiting for him. After that, he decided to call it a wrap for his career in movies and is currently relaxing at home, with his family members.

Chandra Mohan is watching movies on Television and online. He observed that a lot of people starting loving him more ever since his movies are made available on Youtube and other platforms.

Chandramohan made his debut with the 1966 released film Rangula Ratnam. He acted with three-generation actors in the South film industry.
