It’s legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s birth anniversary on Friday and the music industry is still unable to digest the fact that he is no more with us. From music composers to many filmmakers across industries, everyone is taking to their social media and recollecting their memories and the beautiful songs crooned by the SPB.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and SPB share a very special bond. In the beginning of Chiru’s career, almost all the songs in his films were sung by SPB and there are some big chartbusters that one cannot forget.
Remembering SPB, Chiru recalled an incident. “Once I addressed SPB with the suffix ‘Garu’ and he got offended. He said that by adding ‘Garu’ I’m distancing him and requested never to address so. But then leaving us all in deep sorrow, SPB ventured into the sky. Not just personally, we have a family bonding as well and I would like to present our sister SP Vasantha Laxmi’s tribute to you. Hope this song will reach you and touch your heart. Also convey your blessings to our sister,” says Chiru in the video.
“Yenduke… Yenduke.. Kaniti Chukka’ song by Vasantha will leave you very emotional and bring tears to our eyes. Such is the influence of Balu and his magical voice.
