Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the the Pragati Maidan Integrated Transit Corridor project in New Delhi. The main tunnel and five underpasses of the IPTO project were launched by the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, a video from the venue of the event emerged in which PM Modi was seen picking up waste at the newly launched tunnel. Modi was seen picking up empty water bottles and garbage. He collected with his bare hands and set a precedent. Thus, PM Modi displayed his commitment for Swachh Bharat.
Talking about the ITPO project, the PM said, “Pragati Maidan Integrated Transit Corridor will ensure ease of living by helping save time and cost of commuters in a big way.”
It can be noted that the Pragati Maidan Integrated Transit Corridor project, an integral part of the Pragati Maidan redevelopment projects, has been built at a cost of more than Rs 920 crore. The entire project was funded by the Central government.
