India has added another 64,553 new Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours and with this India stepped into the 24 Lakh mark. Currently the total cases count stand at 24,61,191. The active cases count is 6,61,595 while the discharged people count is 17,51,556.
Alarmingly India has once again reported over a thousand deaths in a single day. 1007 people have passed away from the virus and India has entered the 48K mark of Covid-19 deaths. The total death count is 48,040.
8,48,728 samples were tested yesterday and the total samples tested as of August 13th is 2,76,94,416, said the ICMR in its daily statement.
The state of Telangana has posted 1921 new positive cases and the total cases count stands at 88,376 while the active cases count is 23,438. Nine people have died in the last 24 hours and the total death count from the state is 674.
