As we have been reporting extensively several parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, city and neighbouring regions have been witnessing excessive rainfall over the last few hours. In particular, Kamareddy and Medak regions have been witnessing peak rainfall over the last 24.
Incidentally, Kamareddy faced the brunt of the rainfall attack as the area was absolutely flooded with rainwater, which reached alarming heights in the urban region as well.
The latest visuals from the region are not looking very promising as the videos of the damage done by the rainwater are instilling fear. Shockingly rainwater has reached heights nearing one-storey buildings which is excessively brutal on the public.
Relocation and rescue operations are fully in flow upon insistence by the government authorities but the excessive rainfall which isn’t receding is posing a significant threat to the operations. The police and rescue teams are fighting hard to tackle the situation.
We pray for the well-being and safety of the affected people in the region as we patiently wait for the authorities to be able to fully get on the ground and carry out the rescue operations.
