In another shocking news to wake up, at least 10 passengers were killed due to a major mishap in Karnataka. As per the preliminary reports, a deadly road accident involving a private agency bus travelling from Bengaluru to Gokarna carrying more than 30 passengers collided with a lorry and resulted in a huge blaze, which led to the killing of several passengers.
The unfortunate incident happened near Hiriyur town in the early hours of Thursday when the bus was heading towards Shivamogga from Bengaluru on way to Gokarna. The exact number of casualities is yet to revealed. The impact of the collision was so massive that the bus caught fire and charred the passengers to death without giving any chance for escape. As it was in the wee hours, passengers were in deep sleep.
Police teams and ambulances immediately rushed to spot to carry out relief measures. The injured are immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The number of deaths might rise as per eye witnesses.
Travelling by buses is turning out to be disastrous nowadays days as frequency of road accidents at an all time high. After several recent road mishaps in Telugu states, both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka witnessed road accidents in a span of few hours.
