Vijay Sethupathi surprised one and all with an entertaining film, Maharaja, which served as a ray of hope during the dry phase at the box office recently. The Tamil film has become a big hit at the box office and the Telugu dubbed version was also released with the same title.
The Telugu version also attracted a lot of viewers and has emerged as a big hit. Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi’s film will now be landing on top digital streaming platform Netflix. The officials have confirmed that the film will be landing on the platform on 12th July, which confirms that the film was in agreement with Netflix to have a theatrical window of one month.
The film’s plot line reads, “A barber seeks vengeance after his home is burglarized, cryptically telling police his “Lakshmi” has been taken, leaving them uncertain if it’s a person or object. His quest to recover the elusive “Lakshmi” unfolds.”
Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film also features Abhirami.
