New Rule In USA To Benefit Indian F-1 Students

The US government on Monday announced premium processing of work authorisation applications for certain categories of international students. This decision will benefit a large section of Indian students who are on F1 visas and are seeking temporary work related to their major area of study.

The premium processing of applications has been announced by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), for OPT (Optional Practical Training) from international students in the STEM category or its extension.

This will help the F-1 students who are seeking help in getting employment authorisation in the US. USCIS Director Ur M Jaddou stated that the availability of premium processing for certain F-1 students will streamline the immigration experience for a larger number of international students.

The new online filing form for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service, is now available to the F-1 students who are seeking employment authorisation. This process will help in obtaining the employment authorisation more quickly.
