A deadly car crash on US Highway 67 and County Road 1119 in the Nemo area of Johnson County near Texas killed 6 Indians of the same family and injured three.
A head-on crash between a pickup truck and a minivan left six people dead. The injured were taken to Fort Worth hospitals.
Poonada Venkata Satish Kumar, MLA from Mummidivaram revealed that they were relatives of him. Satish Kumar identified the victims as his uncle P. Nageswara Rao, Seetha Mahalakshmi, daughter Naveena, grandson Kruthik, and granddaughter Nishita and he could not identify the sixth person.
According to Satish, the family was returning home to Atlanta after taking part in Christmas celebrations at the house of other relatives in Texas. The MLA said two youngsters were in the pickup truck at the time of the crash and they both survived and were airlifted to Fort Worth Hospital.
Nageswara Rao’s son-in-law Lokesh is the only person who survived the crash but sustained serious injuries. His condition is said to be critical.
