Over the last year or so, tech entrepreneur, Elon Mask who also happens to own mega companies like Tesla and Twitter stood as the richest man on the planet. However, he has momentarily lost this richest man tag to another American and here’s a look into the story. 

Larry Ellison, who happens to be the commander in chief of the leading global tech company Oracle overtook Musk to become the richest man on the planet.

According to the latest report from leading publication, Bloomberg, Larry is currently the richest man on earth with cumulative net worth of $393 billion.

2. Elon Musk $385 billion
3. Mark Zuckerberg $269 billion
4. Jeff Bezos $258 billion
5. Larry Page $210 billion

With a significant bump in the stock value of Oracle, Larry ended up adding over $105 billion in a single day which took his net worth to $393 billion. He is narrowly leading Musk on this list, and this is a pretty significant achievement for him at the ripe age of 81.

He founded Oracle in 1977 when he was 32 years old and made his first $1 billion in 1992 at 47. Today he is officially the richest man on the planet with nearly $400 billion in valuation.
