The previous Joe Biden administration in the United States had imposed sanctions and restrictions on Chinese social media platform, TikTok. This was due to the allegation about this platform collecting unsolicited information from the users and possibly misusing the same.
But on the other hand, Donald Trump has been very optimistic about the revival of TikTok in the United States and he has now made a direct reference to this regard.
In his latest interaction with the Media Trump spoke briefly about the revival of the TikTok project in the United States.
“We have a deal on TikTok. I have reached a deal with China. I’m going to speak to President Xi on Friday to confirm everything up. We’ve made a very good trade deal and I hope it’s for both countries. But a very different deal than they’ve made in the past.” Trump said.
Recently, Trump stated that he had a principal agreement with Chinese authorities about this one certain social media company as he indirectly referred to TikTok. This itself initiated the conversation about the Trump administration’s interest in the Chinese social platform.
And now Trump has directly spoken about the new deal that he found with the Chinese president regarding TikTok. This is in tune with the fact that several Americans have been asking for the existence of this platform which provides livelihood for them through content creation.
