Another Telugu Student Dies in US

In yet another tragic incident, a 23-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh, Rajyalakshmi (Raji) Yarlagadda, passed away suddenly in the United States on Nov. 7, 2025. She was a student of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Her friends said that she had been suffering from a severe cough and chest pain for the past few days.

On November 7, she did not wake up in the morning. The news of her death left her family in shock and devastated. Raji landed in the US to continue her studies in the foreign land and make her family proud. Her friends recalled that Raji was a very kind and loving person. She was also a caring girl, they said.

On information about the death, her family in India is putting in efforts for expatriation of the body to conduct the final rites. Raji’s friends and family began attempts to raise funds to transport the body to India and for supporting her grieving parents.
