The radical decision taken by the United States president, Donald Trump with regard to the immigration policies and primarily the H1B visa regulation is not sitting well with the major business heads in the country.
The general opinion amongst business operational heads is that deleting on the talented Indian pool is going to cost America badly if not handled well. Now it is the turn of Elon Musk to have his options on this matter and considering the fact that he was a crucial part of Trump’s think tank, here’s what he had to say about the same.
“I think America got largely benefited by the Indian talent. The skilled workers who have come from India to America have helped our country technically and robustly” Musk stated. This is a accordance with the fact that the likes of Sathya Nadella, Sundar Pichai and others have shaped the tech scene in the U.S.
Musk made these comments as he took part in a podcast with Indian entrepreneur, Nikhil Kamath.
When the Tesla chief was asked about his investment plans, he had a very interesting reaction “I don’t really buy stocks. I don’t look for things to invest in. I just try to build things and then there happens to be stock of the company that I built, but I don’t have like a portfolio or anything. Google is gonna be pretty valuable in the future.”
Going back to the earlier reference to the H1B Visa, it appears that Musk is also of the implication that America needs the Indian talent pool and can’t afford to lose out on the same.
