Switzerland: Explosion At Bar Leaves Several Dead & Injured

An unidentified explosion struck a crowded bar in the luxury ski resort of Crans-Montana in Switzerland when New Year celebrations were underway. The unfortunate incident has left several dead and others seriously injured. As per preliminary reports, at least 10 people were killed due to the impact of the blast and the casualties are likely to rise further. 

According to the local police, a massive fire started immediately after the blast at around 1:30 AM( local time) at Le Constellation bar when more than 100 people were enjoying a grand party welcoming the New Year. The blaze engulfed the entire building and trapped many inside, leading to multiple deaths. 

As rescue operations are going on, police teams have quickly launched an investigation to find out the reason behind this tragedy. The exact number of deaths is yet to be known and officials say that death toll could be higher. Many videos capturing the incident are currently making rounds on social media platforms. 

The details of the victims have not yet to be revealed officially. Local media state that the blast could have been caused by fireworks during a concert, but police say the cause is unknown and ruled out the possibility of any terror attack. As Crans-Montana is located in the picturesque Swiss Alps, huge number of revellers from different countries gathered at the ski resort.
