Billionaire and richest man in the world, Elon Musk seems to have finally reconciled with US president Donald Trump after months of feud since the latter came to power in 2025. The latest dinner date between these two prominent public figures signal this development.
On Saturday, Musk met President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for dinner, just hours after praising the US president for a military operation in Venezuela that resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro. This comes after Musk congratulated Trump for this operation, calling it as a win for the world and a clear message to evil dictators everywhere.
Musk shared a heartwarming picture of this high-profile dinner date on X and wrote, “Had a lovely dinner last night with @POTUS and @FLOTUS. 2026 is going to be amazing.
It is a known fact that Musk played a pivotal role in Donald Trump’s wining presidential election campaign after he openly extended both financial and vocal support in the run-up to 2024 elections. Unfortunately, the strong alliance quickly fizzled out after Musk started criticising some of key administrative decisions taken by Trump after coming to power.
But, the talk about their renewed ties emerged after Musk started funding the GOP’s House and Senate campaigns for the 2026 midterms in support of Republicans and this came as an indication that his strained relationship with President Trump has eased off after a brief fallout in June last year.
