An Indian youth was found dead under suspicious conditions at a carnival in Thailand. The youth attended Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Thailand on January 18 in Phuket when the incident occurred. Police is investigating into the reasons behind the youth’s sudden collapse and death at the three-day music festival.
The deceased has been identified as Jaisaksham (28). Witnessing his alarming behavior at the music festival, he was rushed to Thalang Hospital in Phuket on Saturday night.
According to a report in Asean Now, Police said that Jaisaksham went to the EDC held at Cheemg Talay attended by local and international music fans. While leaving the festival venue, Jaisaksham appeared to have lost control of his faculties, suddenly became agitated and began damaging property, including some parked vehicles, along Bandon-Choeng Thale Road.
On being informed, emergency responders reached the scene and shifted him to Thalang Hospital. On examining him, doctors said that he was suffering from shock. A few moments after being admitted to the hospital, he lost consciousness and later, died despite efforts by the medical staff.
As the reason behind the death is not clear, the authorities ordered a post-mortem. Jaisaksham’s body was transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital where a detailed autopsy would be conducted.
The Thailand authorities informed the Indian embassy for shifting the body to India.
