Rakul Preet Singh is all set to amaze fans in her upcoming role as Surpanakha in the much-awaited epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Rakul joins a stellar ensemble cast, and her casting as Surpanakha has already got fans curious about her look and screen presence in the mythological drama.
Meanwhile, for a recent photoshoot, Rakul skipped the usual vintage, traditional vibe and went for something bold and classy instead. She rocked a ruched, high-neck teal bodycon dress with a sleek high ponytail and statement earrings, giving off a modern, chic energy rather than the expected old-world glam.
In other news, the Ramayana trailer, expected to premiere on July 24, has now been postponed. Producer Namit Malhotra announced the decision just hours before the makers were set to take the stage at the Ramayana panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, revealing that the trailer will now launch globally at a later date following the team’s partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
