It’s Just A Trailer: Kodali Nani

Kodali Nani

Arrest is imminent for all the guilty, asserted minister Kodali Nani. Spewing venom at Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the minister termed him a fox and ridiculed him for resorting to graft at a ripe age of 75 years. He (Naidu) should be ashamed to roam about with a batch of scamsters behind him, the minister said. Further, he added, “Had it been TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, he should have suspended a couple of ministers, saying that even the Opposition would cooperate with the ruling party in probing a scam of this magnitude.

The arrest of TDLP vice-chairman K. Atchannaidu is just a trailer and there is more to this ESI scam, Nani said. Naidu and Lokesh are fearing that the arrested minister would take their names and that is the reason they rushed to the hospital but not to enquire Atchannaidu his health, he alleged.

The report submitted by the Cabinet sub-committee which probed into the shady deals under the TDP regime indicates that this a Rs 1,000-crore scam and there are more skeletons that would tumble out of the yellow party’s closet, the minister said.

Further, Nani said that they referred the case to the CBI and that the sleuths would inquire into the matter. “Be it Chandrababu, his son Lokesh or any one, if they are involved they would be put behind the bars. Lokesh is not a god. He too is a human and will not be exempted,” he said.

Training his guns at TDP senior leader and former irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, he said that there is no need to frame cases against Uma. “The TDP is a corrupt party. Once the CBI sleuths step in and give him proper treatment, he will himself spill the beans. He will tell about how many thousands of crores have changed hands. Be he in his ‘kota’ or ‘peta’, Uma is Uma, police will push him into the jail.”
