Viral: DK Shivakumar is a collecting agent says K’taka Congressmen

Karnataka Congress VS Ugrappa and MA Salim were caught in a video discussing the state’s chief DK Shivakumar’s commission business. This video has created a huge storm in Karnataka political circles while Ugrappa and MA Saleem have been suspended and served show-cause notices too.

Apparently both Ugrappa and Salim discussed a scam involving DK Shivakumar and the Karnataka Congress chief reportedly accepted bribes. News channels mikes were placed on the table and they were recording the discussion of both the leaders (but they had no clue about it).

“Earlier the commission was 6 to 8 percent but DK hiked it to 12 percent. If the contractor had made Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore business, imagine how much DK received in the form of commission. He is a collection giraaki (Agent),” said Saleem in this viral video.

Also both Ugrappa and Salim discussed that DK’s leadership is pointless and is not helping the Karnataka Congress at all. “While talking DK fumbles a lot and people think that he is drunk or maybe he has low BP,” adds Saleem.

Karnataka Congress has reacted to the video and added that these allegations are baseless. But Shivakumar is not reachable to make a statement on this viral video.

However, when the details in this video is dug, DK Shivakumar was the water resources minister in the previous JDS – Congress government and there were allegations of corruption in the irrigation department. Recently the IT has held raids at irrigation contractor’s places and interestingly the contractor happens to be a close aide of Shivakumar.

This is not the first time that Congress leaders were caught on mic and camera discussing side businesses. Despite many incidents, no lessons learned and that’s Congress party.
