The AP politics are yet again revolving around the ‘Three Capitals’ row. Despite repealing the ‘Three Capitals’ bill, the Jagan led YCP government is planning to reintroduce the same bill with many changes in the next budget sessions.
BJP Rajya Sabha MP TG Venkatesh has a piece of advice for AP CM Jagan and if the latter takes up the suggestion seriously, TG added that he would convince the BJP high command on the ‘Three Capitals’ bill.
“Rayalaseema Hakkula Vedika (RHV) has been demanding Summer and Winter Capitals. Vizag should be announced as Summer Capital while Kurnool should be made Winter Capital,” said TG.
He added that before AP Bifurcation, RHV urged the Sri Krishna Committee to declare Kurnool as the capital and also sanction the High Court bench to Rayalaseema. “It’s been two years we have been waiting for the High Court bench. Industries should be set up in Rayalaseema and this region needs a regional development board. We lost the capital and yes we are upset but if the following demands are met, I will personally convince the BJP high command on ‘Three Capitals’ and it’s my responsibility,” said TG Venkatesh.
Concluding he opined that reintroduction of ‘Three Capitals’ would only result in legal hurdles and once the resolution is moved, making amendments is a difficult task.
Are there any takers for TG’s recommendations from the YCP camp?
