March 29th marks four decades of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Established by Telugu pride Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, TDP’s journey in the forty years was a roller-coaster ride. Marking this occasion, massive celebrations are planned by the party around the globe.
The first event would take place at NTR’s birth place Nimmakuru and also at TDP’s head office in Mangalagiri. In Nimmakuru, TDP is going to organise a feast for about a lakh people and donation of clothes is also a part.
At the head office, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu will be hoisting the party flag. Later he would take part in events scheduled at mandal level. TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh will list out the party’s journey and progress in the same event. Senior leaders Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Butchaiah Chowdary are set to introduce several resolutions for the benefit of the party on this occasion.
From highly reliable sources we hear that the entire Nandamuri family will be gracing the TDP formation day celebrations.
This four decades’ glory will be celebrated till May 29th (TDP’s annual event Mahanadu) and events in Dubai, USA, UK and a few more nations are finalised by the NRI communities. Through these programs, TDP wants to re-establish itself as a force behind the Telugu community and the leaders are leaving no stone unturned for the same.
In AP, TDP will be pitching the work it has done for the poor and weaker sections when in government and new strategies for the future will also be drawn. With the party event around the corner, there is a new josh in the TDP leaders and cadre. They are hopeful that it would re-energise them and bring back the glory and also back to power in the next general elections.
