We Can’t Do Anything: KTR’s First Comment On Guv Tamilisai

After being diplomatic for months, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sounderarajan finally stated that the Governor’s office was deliberately and repeatedly insulted by the state government. Some time back Tamilisai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and this time she opened up completely about the dispute between her and KCR government.

“I’m in a constitutional position. Leave Tamilisai as per person but the Raj Bhavan and Governor should be given the due respect. Instead repeated insults are going on. This is not the way to treat a woman,” said Tamilisai. When asked what is the reason behind this, Tamilisai replied that it’s on the media to find it out or question the state government.

Governor Tamilisai also raked up the issue of her transport options. “In Telangana, the Governor has to travel either by road or railways. I will be going to Bhadrachalam to take part in the Srirama Navami festival and you know I travel only by road or train,” said Tamilisai.

With back to back press meets by the Governor Tamilisai, the TRS government is on the back foot. It has to be seen how the TRS government will react to the allegations made by the Governor.

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan’s tour of New Delhi waves have touched the state. She is all over the headlines and cornered the TRS government by alleging that she was deliberately and repeatedly insulted by the KCR sarkar. Yet Tamilisai asked the state government to respect and honour the Governor’s office.

In his first reaction, TRS Working President KTR said the Governor imagined things on her own. “We have nothing against the Governor but we can’t do anything if she envisions a different perspective and talks whatever comes to her mind,” said KTR.

Citing Tamilisai’s own comments that she was ignored just because she kept Padi Kaushik Reddy’s MLC file on hold, KTR added that with former Governor ESL Narasimhan, the TRS government had no issues.

Like Tamilisai who took indirect potshots at the TRS government, KTR hit back at the Governor without making any controversial comments.
