Just In: Divya Vani announces quitting TDP

Actress turned politician Divya Vani has made a shocking announcement of quitting the Telugu Desam party. Short while ago, Divya Vani took to her Twitter handle and broke this news.

“There are some evil forces in TDP and I’m opposing their influence in the party. Accordingly I’m offering my resignation to the party. I would like to thank each and every activist of the party who had supported me all these days,” tweeted Divya Vani.

Post this tweet, Divya Vani sent out a message to the media that she would be holding a press conference today evening in Amaravati. Divya Vani is likely to open up on what led her to quit TDP despite giving a prominent role in the party.

As official spokesperson of TDP, Divya Vani earned the support of the leadership. However in the recently concluded Mahanadu conclave, Divya Vani went missing. Buzz is that she did not receive an invitation for Mahanadu and she felt insulted of being ignored.

Minutes after Divya Vani posted the resignation tweet, the TDP leaders are said to have gone in touch with her to find out the factual reason behind this drastic decision.
