#Casino: Tamilasai Denies Entry For Cruise Into Pondy

The biggest cruise ship, Cordelia was denied entry into Pondicherry as a result this gigantic ship was stranded in Bay of Bengal from Friday morning. According to the latest media reports, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Tamilasai Soundararajan strictly instructed the authorities to not allow the ship into Puducherry waters.

Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai clarified on her orders and she added that the management of the cruise ship must confirm regarding the activities of casino and other gambling events inside the ship. Also the liquor of other states is strictly prohibited in Puducherry and citing the above reasons, LG Tamilisai denied entry for Cordelia.

However, JM Baxi Group that owns Cordelia said that they have been trying for approvals for nearly a month and the officials delayed the process. Since morning 4 AM, Cordelia was stranded in the Bay of Bengal and the authorities of the ship are still making efforts to get approval.

Just in case, if the permission gets delayed Cordelia might reach Cuddalore, a port adjacent to Puducherry.

Cordelia Cruise Ship was flagged off by AP Tourism minister Roja on June 8th. Initially the AP government had its inhibitions on this cruise owing to the same reasons but the approvals were granted on the special request of the Baxi group.

With sudden denial of Cordelia Cruise into Puducherry, the future events of Baxi groups have fallen into doldrums.
