Highlights: Modi’s Telugu Speech & Touching Feet Act

PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhimavaram has garnered national attention for many reasons. Modi’s Telugu speech is the highlight of the day. Modi uttered his Telugu lines for a minute which became a talking point. Modi started his speech in Telugu and reticed the revolutionary line ‘Telugu Veera Levara, Deeksha Buni Sagara’. Modi also recalled the names of veteran freedom fighters of the land and asked youth to get inspired from such personalities. PM hailed Andhra Pradesh as ‘Punya Bhumi’ and ‘Veera Bhumi’.

PM Modi inaugurated the 30-feet bronze statue of ‘Manyam Veerudu’ Alluri Sitarama Raju in West Godavari’s Peda Amiram. He shared dais with the state Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan and CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. 

Meanwhile, PM Modi has touched the feet of 90-year-old Pasala Krishna Bharathi who is in a wheelchair and her sister, niece. Krishna Bharathi is the daughter of freedom fighter Pasala Krishna Murthy and Anja Lakshmi. The nonagenarian blessed Prime Minister.  This incident stood out and the picture of PM touching the feet of freedom fighter’s daughter has gone viral online.
