Sharmila Haunting Telangana Congress!

Irrespective of the response to her walkathon (Paadayatra) YS Sharmila is continuing to walk forward and is trying her level best to win the confidence of the people of Telangana. The ruling TRS party is least bothered about Sharmila led YSRTP but one party is seriously worried about her presence and it is Telangana Congress.

T-PCC chief Revanth Reddy is working very hard to revive the Congress in Telangana and he is fully focused on 2023 Assembly elections. Accordingly Revanth sorted a survey from people and their aspirations for the next government in Telangana. T-Congress political and poll strategist Sunil had performed a survey, the report was kind of a shocker.

In the report, Sunil analysed that Sharmila’s party will dent the chances of T-Congress. In Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and Khammam where YSR followers still hold a good presence, they are said to be drifting towards Sharmila’s party. Also the voters of Reddy and Christian communities in these three districts will pose a major threat to Congress, said the report.

Sunil’s report further claimed that if YS Vijayamma also campaigns for Sharmila, Congress will get severely impacted in the polls and in every constituency, YSRTP would split the thousands of votes and it will be the T-Congress who will be at the receiving end of the split.

Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, T-Congress in-charge Manickam Tagore and other leaders discussed this report and it worried them. In order not to let this happen, the leaders have decided to lay more focus on these three districts.

However T-Congress is in no mood to let go any opportunity that would bring them back to power. Accordingly, a couple of Congress leaders proposed an alliance with Sharmila’s party. Yet it’s the Congress high command that takes ultimate decisions on alliances (poll) and so the T-Congress leaders informed the same to in-charge Tagore.

Initially Revanth Reddy and co never imagined that Sharmila would become so vital in Telangana politics and now she might seriously show her mark. Just in case if T-Congress approaches Sharmila for a poll alliance, will she accept? Sharmila aims to be the CM of Telangana while there are many contenders for the CM chair within Congress and so we can assume where this is going to go!
