After playing decades of cricket for India, prominent women cricketer and Team Blue’s Best captain ever, Mithali Raj has not only retired from the game, but is also focusing on other things she could do which will help the country’s aspiring female cricketers. One of them is bringing out her biopic for the people which is titled “Sabhaash Mithu” and features Taapsee Pannu in her shoes.
As this film is getting ready to hit cinemas this weekend, Taapsee and Co are now promoting the film quite aggressively and they have landed in Hyderabad as well. Guess what, even Mithali is promoting the film along with her everywhere and she is here in her hometown too. Guess what, when reporters quizzed her about early retirement, Mithali gave her respectful reply in Telugu only.
“I’ve been playing for the country for the last 23 years. Thought that I should retire such that young blood will come into the team and will be getting ready for the next world cup” said Mithali, of course, in Telugu only. While many are wondering, it is no surprise that she would speak Telugu fluently after growing up in Hyderabad.
Mithali Raj belongs to a Rajasthani family, but has completely grown up and represented Hyderabad all through her career and life, so why would not she speak Telugu very well? However, she maintained Hindi and English as her communication language most of the times, so people doesn’t know that she speaks Telugu as well.
