The Only YCP MLA Who Completely Ignores Jagan

To cast their vote for the Presidential election, all the MLAs of the ruling party arrived in Amaravati on Monday. Taking this opportunity, AP CM YS Jagan held a review meeting on ‘Gadapa-Gadapaku YCP’ with ministers and MLAs. Jagan who carried out a report on this program, placed it before the MLAs. He pointed out MLAs who have performed well and underperformed.

Apparently this report shocked the YCP MLAs because none of them expected that Jagan would initiate such an inquiry against them. Nearly 40 MLAs did not meet the expectations set by Jagan and they could not reply to the YCP chief’s tough questions. Jagan was disappointed with MLAs not taking up ‘Gadapa-Gadapaku YCP’ seriously and he even warned that if such attitude continues they may be denied ticket in the next elections.

Among the 40 odd MLAs who underperformed, one MLA’s attitude has become highly controversial and he is Nellore district’s Kovur MLA Nallapareddy Prasannakumar Reddy. Despite Jagan’s reminder that every minister and MLA should participate in ‘Gadapa-Gadapaku YCP,’ Prasannakumar Reddy did not take part even a single day.

Offlate Prasannakumar Reddy has turned a headache for YCP. Before the media and in the party’s internal meetings, Prasannakumar Reddy had displayed unwanted dominance which the YCP high command did not appreciate. The YCP attempted to bring Prasannakumar Reddy into line but in vain.

There are a couple of reasons for Prasannakumar Reddy’s reckless attitude. He happens to be the first elected MLA for YCP outside Kadapa and he believes that he is super senior in the party. In the cabinet expansion CM Jagan ignored Prasannakumar Reddy’s seniority and this has frustrated the Kovur MLA. Rumours have it that Prasannakumar Reddy came to a conclusion that he might not get a ticket in 2024 and so he made up his mind to leave YCP in the coming days. With such reports reaching Jagan, he yet again snubbed Prasannakumar Reddy in the review meeting.

The other MLA who did not participate in ‘Gadapa-Gadapaku YCP’ was Alla Nani but he is a non-controversial person and will definitely fall into party’s line if Jagan summons.
