What If We Ask To Merge AP In Telangana? Botsa Counters T-Minister

Telangana minister Puvvada Ajay’s comments demanding to take back the merged villages of AP to Telangana has stoked a major political controversy. He stated that Polavaram project is the reason for the recent floods in Bhadrachalam. This hasn’t gone down well with AP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana.

Polavaram-affected villages that were merged into Andhra Pradesh have been contentious issue between both the Telugu states. On this sensitive topic, T-minister Puvvada Ajay demanded that the flood-affected villages merged in AP should be merged back into the Telangana state.

Responding to Puvvada Ajay’s comments, AP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana gave a strong counter. He asked is it right to demand Andhra Pradesh would be reunited with Telangana state given that AP’s revenues were reduced after losing Hyderabad.

“After division, AP lost Hyderabad to Telangana and AP revenues were affected. So, is it right if we ask AP to be merged into Telangana state?” said an angry Botsa when reporters asked him to respond to Puvvada Ajay’s comments.

“There are so many issues to be focused on in Khammam. I ask minister Puvvada Ajay to better look into those. Why make unnecessary comments on other state issues?,” Botsa added. He said that AP government knows how to take care of its people and asked Ajay to be clam on AP’s affairs.
