CM Jagan has hit out at his arch rivals Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan at his public meeting at Gollaprolu in Kakinada where he released the third installment of YSR Kapu Nestham scheme. Jagan came down heavily on Pawan Kalyan whom he referred as “Dattaputrudu”. In a direct attack Jagan said, “Kapu votes will be sold wholesale to Chandrababu by his Dattaputrudu again.”
Jagan asked the people to choose between his governance and Chandrababu’s governance. Drawing comparisons with Chandrababu’s governance where he called it as filled with “corruption” and “looting”, Jagan claimed that large number of people have benefitted from his governance with the schemes. He said the benefits are being transferred to people through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
CM Jagan hasn’t spared his rival media either. He targeted Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi and TV5 in his style. “I may not have a Dattaputrudu like Chandrababu has. I may not have Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi and TV5. But I do have people’s support and God’s blessings.”
Throughout the speech, Jagan played it to the galleries. He invoked the sentiment and stated that he is fighting single-handedly and working for the benefit of the people against all the odds created by the opposition parties. CM Jagan kept this entire meeting political and hit out at his political opponents directly. As AP is going to face the general election in 2024, Jagan is bracing up for it.
Meanwhile, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan and TDP leaders are yet to react to Jagan’s comments.
