In a significant boost to Andhra Pradesh, a large amount of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is coming into the state. None other than the Centre has made a crucial statement related to this. Confirming the FDI inflows into AP, the Centre said the Foreign Investments have increased six times in a year compared to the previous government’s period.
The Union Finance Ministry shared these details in the Lok Sabha along with official data. The information was given in reply to a question asked by YSRCP MP Gurumoorthy.
According to the Centre, Andhra Pradesh received USD 92.13 million in FDI during the 2023-24 financial year. The figure increased to USD 233.14 million in 2024-25. In 2025-26, FDI inflows rose sharply to USD 608.59 million.
The Centre gave an unexpected shock to the previous government by revealing the statistics. It said that during the previous government’s tenure, uncertainty in industrial policies slowed the flow of investments into the state.
Revealing the further details, the Ministry of Finance also said that the metal industry received the highest FDI in 2025-26, attracting USD 250.67 million. The food processing sector received USD 107.30 million, while the cement products sector attracted USD 99.90 million in foreign investments.
