Anantapur SP called the press and informed the media that the video involving Hindupur MP Gorantla Madhav in a scandal is fake. However the top police officer said their investigation is still in the preliminary stage and found out that the video is fake.
“We have examined many videos circulating on social media surrounding this episode and from whatever were our observations, the video is fake,” said SP Fakkeerappa Kaginelli.
Revealing more details about the video, the SP said, this video was first uploaded on the internet from the UK with the number + 447443703968 and was posted in ITDP group at midnight 2 AM. “In our investigation we found out that the person with the number is in the UK and is using Vodafone carrier. We have emailed Vodafone to give details of the person with the following number,” said SP.
When asked why Gorantla Madhav’s phone was not seized to examine, the SP replied that they haven’t received any complaint from the victim (MP Madhav). The police informed that they haven’t closed the case and the investigation is still going on.
MP Gorantla Madhav will be relieved but the case is not over yet. The police did not put any deadline for the probe and added that there are complexities in verifying the facts.
