Congress party President Sonia Gandhi’s mother Paola Maino passed away at her home in Italy. According to the media reports, Sonia’s mother Paola breathed her last on August 27th and the funerals were held the following day.
Sonia Gandhi travelled to Italy on August 23rd to meet her ailing mother who was in her 90s and unfortunately her mother could not survive. Following Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi also left for Italy to be with the family members in the hour of grief.
The official handle of the Congress party shared this news and offered prayers for the departed soul and stood in solidarity with the bereaved family.
Telangana PCC chief Revanth Reddy mourned the passing away of Paola. “Deepest condolences to Smt.Sonia Gandhi ji at the passing away of her respected mother. May god give the family all the strength to bear this loss,” tweeted Revanth Reddy.
