RRR Exposes Vijayasai Reddy’s links with Delhi Liquor Scam

YCP rebel and Narasapuram MP K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju hit out at Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy yet again and alleged that the entire liquor business in Andhra Pradesh was being run by him with the help of his close confidants.

He also alleged that their party MP V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and his son-in-law Rohith Reddy were also involved in managing and supervising the manufacture and supply of cheap liquor brands in the state. Further, he also charged Rohith Reddy with having direct link with Delhi liquor scam.

The MP said that ADAN Distilleries, being managed by Rohith Reddy, supplies liquor to the entire state by taking several small distilleries on lease. RRR also alleged that the distilleries owned by former MP late SPY Reddy, who was close to the TDP, is also being managed by Rohith Reddy though SPY Reddy’s son-in-law Sridhar Reddy’s name appears as the head of the firm.

Right from labelling, transport of the bottles and sale of liquor at the shops are monitored by Vijayasai Reddy and his son-in-law.

The MP hinted at a big scam behind the transactions being done only in cash at the liquor shops. He said that Vasudeva Reddy, a junior IAS officer, was appointed as the head of the AP Beverages Corporation only to carry out the illegal transactions as they wanted and divert the cash collected at the liquor shops to specific families.

The liquor business in Andhra Pradesh is completely under the control of Reddys managed and monitored by the CM’s trusted lieutenants, he said.

On Delhi liquor scam, he said that the CBI raids on Srujan Reddy in Hyderabad also prove Vijayasai Reddy’s involvement in the fraud. Srujan Reddy is close to A2 in our party, he said.

Rohith Reddy reportedly lent a whopping Rs 200 crore to as many as 108 liquor shops in Delhi, RRR said and added that it raises several doubts with the connection between him and the Delhi liquor scam.

The rebel MP said that he had been repeatedly raising the liquor issue but the YCP government had never given a proper reply which is fuelling further suspicions on the matter.

The MP said that all those transporting the cash from the liquor shops should be interrogated to detect those behind the cheap liquor business in Andhra Pradesh.

With the Delhi liquor scam still under probe, it has to be seen if the liquor business in Andhra Pradesh too is connected to it.
