Jagan Permanent President: What A Covering Sajjala!

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy

A day after the Election Commission of India had given a shock to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stating that it would not accede to Jagan being the permanent president of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), chief advisor to the AP government and YCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that Jagan Mohan Reddy rejected the resolution to have him (the CM) as the permanent president of the party. Sajjala said that as Jagan had not accepted the proposal, it was not included into the minutes of the meeting and there is no such thing as a permanent president for the YSRCP.

Apparently, the statement from Sajjala could have been made as a damage control measure as it was only on Wednesday evening that the social media carried posts on ‘EC shocker to Jagan’. Now, here comes a big question as to what do all the numerous advisors appointed by the YCP government do really? Do they not take precautions to avoid damage to the reputation of the party and their leaders? No other state in the entire country has such a huge number of advisors to the chief minister.

What does this imply? Does the CM lack brains, asked a TDP senior leader.

It would have been better if Sajjala had released this statement a day earlier even before the ECI responded on the issue of permanent president to the YCP. Sajjala is believed and also treated as the trouble shooter being a very sharp advisor.

In fact, Sajjala could have issued a press release stating that Jagan would continue as the party president for five years and then the elections would be held to elect the next president on Wednesday evening itself.
