Watch: Pawan, Chandrababu Meet After 5 Yrs

The long wait of 5 years has ended finally. Amid speculations of a possible alliance ahead of the upcoming general elections and the latest political turmoil in Vizag, TDP stalwart Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his 2014 poll partner and Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan today met at Novotel hotel in Vijayawada. Janasena Party’s political affairs committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar and committee member and Pawan’s brother Nagababu were also present in the meeting.

After their meeting, Chandrababu and Pawan also held a joint press meet. Addressing the media, Chandrababu, who recently telephoned Pawan during his clash with the YSRCP and the police officials in Vizag, said that the way Jagan government treated Pawan was quite appalling. Babu also said that YSRCP organising its event on the very day of Pawan’s rally was not right. The former CM  has also said that he only came to extend his support to Pawan.

Chandrababu also lashed out at the Vizag Police’s attempts to drag Pawan on the city streets. “Is it right to attack the opposition and also file cases against them? They (YSRCP leaders) are also making nonsensical allegations against the opposition. They are seeking a sadistic pleasure by torturing the opposition. Democracy is being killed every day in Andhra Pradesh,” Babu fumed, further saying that, if needed, all the political parties in the state must unite to fight against YSRCP atrocities.
