Actor Ali was heard to be upset with YSRC after the Assembly elections because he was not offered what he expected. There were even rumors last month that Ali made up his mind to join Janasena after being ignored in YSRC.
It looks like YSRC pacified him with a position as advisor. Ali is appointed as ‘Advisor to Government (Electronic Media)’, with a tenure of two years. It was reported that he was expecting a Rajya Sabha seat or an equally good post in the government with a cabinet rank.
The government officially passed a GO regarding the same. It is now clear that Ali is staying with YSRC and the rumors about his jump to Janasena can be put down for now. Ali was with TDP earlier.
