Telangana Minister Ch. Malla Reddy invited Megastar Chiranjeevi to join the Bharat Rashtra Samiti floated by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Malla Reddy said, “You (Chiranjeevi) and me should serve the people of our state and also our country. It is our duty to do service to the people as responsible citizens.”
The minister was speaking at an awareness camp on ‘Kill Cancer’ under the aegis of Malla Reddy University and ISKCON. Chiranjeevi graced the occasion as the chief guest.
After being drubbed in the 2009 elections, Chiranjeevi merged his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) in the Congress with many of its leaders quitting the party and going back to either the Congress or the TDP. Chiranjeevi launched the PRP with the agenda of social justice.
In January this year, Chiranjeevi made it clear that he would not return to politics. Now, it has to be seen how the Megastar would respond to the Malla Reddy’s invitation.
