Politics are above family bondings. On many instances we have seen siblings contesting against each other from different political outfits. In Andhra Pradesh, there were many cases where father and son contested against one another and this trend is up for show in Karnataka.
Former Karnataka Minister and mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy who floated his own political party with the name Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha has announced that his party will contest the Assembly elections which are due in another three months.
Not stopping here, Gali Janardhan Reddy has announced the candidate for Bellary city assembly constituency. The candidate is none other than Gali’s wife Aruna Lakshmi. Surprisingly Gali’s brother Somashekar Reddy is representing Bellary city constituency and despite having knowledge of this Gali confirmed that his wife will contest the constituency.
It will be an electoral fight between members of the family and the political contest is going to be a battle of muscle and money power. Also Gali Janardhan Reddy confirmed his constituency and he will be in poll foray from Gangavathi constituency which is located in Koppal district.
Gali’s other brother G Karunakara Reddy represents Harapanahalli constituency while his close friend Sriramulu is Molakalmuru MLA in Chitradurga district and he is also a Minister. The trio Karunakara Reddy, Somashekar and Sriramilu clarified that they will stick to BJP and are expecting tickets from the BJP leadership.
