Brothers’ Panchayati Reaches Chandrababu

The appointment of TDP politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu’s daughter, Divya, as Tuni constituency TDP in-charge led to dissent in the party. Ramakrishnudu’s brother Krishnudu expressed dissent over the appointment of Divya. He was dismayed over his replacement as the Tuni in-charge, without consulting him.

It is learnt YCP leaders from East Godavari district tried to take advantage of Krishnudu’s dissent. On information about the TDP leader’s dissatisfaction to the Tadepalli leadership, there were several calls from the YCP leaders to Krishnudu, reportedly, promising him a corporation chairman post.

Learning about the involvement of the YCP leaders in the episode, the TDP leadership swung into action and held discussions with Krishnudu since yesterday morning. This morning, TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu asked the East Godavari party leaders to bring Krishnudu to him. Pithapuram former MLA Varma and Orukula Raju reached Naidu’s residence with Krishnudu.

There is information that Krishnudu has told Naidu about the reasons why he had lost the elections during the last two times. Party sources said that Naidu promised to give a suitable position to Krishnudu after the TDP is voted to power.

It has to be seen if the YCP would be successful in taking Krishnudu into the party’s fold in the coming days.
