KCR Chants ‘Etela’, What’s Up?

The Telangana Budget Sessions concluded on Sunday but the BRS party played a political game in the Assembly targeting BJP MLA Etela Rajender. As the leader of House, Telangana CM KCR spoke in the Assembly for nearly two hours and in his speech, he mentioned BJP MLA Etela’s name nearly ten times.

“Etela is the witness of how the BRS government worked in the first and second terms. He shifted the party and there is a change in his attitude,” said KCR. Earlier KCR never wanted to face Etela in the Assembly. In the last sessions, Etela and the rest of the BJP MLAs were suspended from the Assembly. Now KCR taking out the name of Etela not just once but nearly ten times, spiked speculations.

Well not just KCR, even BRS ministers KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao also mentioned Etela’s name in their speeches in the Assembly. Following these events, in the Assembly lobby a discussion erupted that very soon Etela would join the BRS. Reacting to this episode, Etela condemned the rumours of joining BRS.

“This is a political mind game of the BRS and KCR. I’m not used to the culture of shifting parties frequently and such tricks would fail before me. I was forced to leave the TRS party by making false accusations against me. I was humiliated and would never return to BRS,” replied Etela.

Just before the Munugode by-election, BRS managed to pull Dasoju Sravan and Swami Goud on its side and now it is eyeing Etela. That way the party wants to get stronger going to the Assembly polls in December. This is purely a political move, say observers and they opine that Etela who was once reckoned as number two in B(T)RS, knows KCR completely and he will have to think twice before taking a call on his next political step.
