KTR’s Words Remind What AP Folks Lost In Amaravathi

KTR

When the Telugu Desam party is ruling Andhra Pradesh state previously, many thought that Amaravathi is being constructed at a larger scale than needed. And then after the YS Jagan led YSRCP government came to power, they proposed the three capitals idea though the Central government claimed that only Amaravathi is the designated capital of the state. And here comes a comment from Telangana IT Minister in this context.

Speaking at a meeting with some builders in Khajaguda, Hyderabad on the sidelines of an inauguration, KTR stated that Hyderabad’s HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) continues to be the biggest in the country while many expected that Amaravati might beat it. “As there is no work happening in Amaravati right now, HMDA remains the largest development authority in the country with over 7000 Sq Kms under its wings,” said KTR, adding more that he is not making any political comment here. “No doubt, Guntur, Vizag and Vijayawada are doing well; But my comment is limited only to Hyderabad” he adds.

However, one wonders what would have happened if YS Jagan led government continued developing Amaravati like how Chandrababu Naidu has done earlier. Surely the newly formed AP state would have seen not only the biggest developmental authority but also big development. But with politics taking the centre stage, today AP people don’t have proper capital at all.
