The agitation for Amaravati capital has entered 1200 days. On this occasion, excluding YCP, all the major political parties have extended solidarity to the Amaravati farmers. AP BJP leader Satya Kumar also reached out to Amaravati farmers but he faced a bitter experience.
Satya Kumar participated in the protest by Amaravati farmers. After this he was returning and in the midway, allegedly YCP activists pelted stones on his car. After stopping the vehicle, Satya Kumar was dragged out of his car and was mercilessly thrashed by YCP karyakartas. The BJP leader reitaliated to the mob but he was outnumbered.
However, the police reached the spot immediately and tried to resist the attack. Eventually Satya Kumar was saved by the cops and ensured he resumed his journey safely. The police detained the people who attacked Satya Kumar.
Visuals of Satya Kumar getting punched surfaced on social media and they are quite disturbing in nature. It is unclear whether the BJP leader sustained any injuries in this attack. He is yet to comment on the attack.
