Political Talk: Angry Jagan Sidelined Sr IAS Officer?

IAS and IPS officers were transferred in Andhra Pradesh. Orders to this effect were issued by the government. Though the government has the privilege to transfer the top-notch officials, there is talk that the transfers done last night were not of the usual type. With the general elections just a year away, the IAS and IPS officers’ transfer has assumed significance. Recently, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy told his party legislators that they would get officers whom they like to work with in their constituencies.

Almost all the senior officers were considered as district officials and given the responsibilities to head various departments. The junior officers were allocated to various districts. Senior IAS officer R.P Sisodia, who is waiting for posting after working as the principal secretary to the Governor, received a shock as he was posted to the last and least important Human Resources Development Corporation. He was appointed as the director of the Corporation.

The reason for this was found to be that Sisodia had given appointment to the Employees Union leader Suryanarayana with Governor Viswabhusan Harichandan. It is being said that it was only because of Sisodia that the employees association leader could meet the Governor and complain to him about the irregular payment of salaries to the government employees.

This sudden development had left the Jagan & YCP government shocked and then it ordered for the transfer of Sisodia. Since then, he had not been given any posting. There is buzz that It because of facilitating the employees union leaders to meet the Governor that Sisodia was transferred.

In the past, Government chief advisor LV Subrahmanyam was also sidelined in a similar manner and posted to the same Human Resources Development Corporation.
