Andhra Pradesh is historically and geographically infamous for being hit by some of the worst cyclones and natural disasters. Now the state is preparing for another cyclone to hit landfall, and it is going to be pretty drastic in nature as well.
This new cyclone has been named Arnab and it is going to make landfall in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.
Currently, the cyclone is centred approximately 300 km from Visakhapatnam, 360 km from Kakinada, 460 km from Machilipatnam and 530 km from Bapatla.
It is likely to cross the coast near Yanam, between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam, by tomorrow morning. Widespread rainfall is expected across Andhra Pradesh today and tomorrow.
But the government of Andhra Pradesh is reportedly prepared for the upcoming natural calamity as CM Chandrababu had instructed authorities to prepare the immediate rescue plans.
The Chief Minister has long been known as a crisis manager for Andhra Pradesh, having helped people recover from difficult situations in the past. With his administration working on the ground, repair works are expected to be completed quickly, allowing normal life to return soon.
