Despite hailing from an influential film and political family, Nandamuri Ramakrishna, the soft-spoken son of the legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh CM NT Ramarao, always maintained a low-profile and kept himself out of the public eye. Throughout his life, Ramakrishna hardly involved in active politics and always refrained himself from making political statements.
But, it looks like Ramakrishna is a changed man now. Recently, he stunned everyone by lashing out at YSRCP’s Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani. Ramakrishna said that Kodali Nani must always remember that it was the Nandamuri family that gave him a life in politics. Ramakrishna made these statements while addressing the media on the sidelines of NTR’s birth centenary celebrations at his native place, Pamarru.
When the media asked Ramakrishna about Kodali Nani’s allegations that the Nandamuri family had backstabbed him, Ramakrishna said that Nani’s conscience will tell him who backstabbed who. “It was Nani who exploited our Nandamuri family for his political gains and backstabbed us afterwards,” Ramakrishna said.
Launching a full-frontal attack on the YS Jagan government, Ramakrishna said that the state has gone back 40 years in development and that Jagan sarkar cannot even find a “beggar’s bowl to beg for funds.” “Only Chandrababu Naidu must be given the reins to bring the state back onto the path of development,” Ramakrishna added.
Needless to say, this is undoubtedly the first-ever instance where Ramakrishna has made such fiery political statements. Meanwhile, TDP and YSRCP supporters are keenly waiting to see how Kodali Nani, who always attacks Chandrababu and the TDP, counters the statements made by NTR’s son.
