Kodi Kathhi Case: Neither TDP nor YCP to be blamed

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) which is probing the Kodi Kathhi case, has revealed the testimonial of the accused Janapally Srinivasa Rao and it is quite shocking. Srinivas acknowledged before the NIA that he attacked YSRCP chief YS Jagan for the sake of sympathy.

“I had the opinion that people would sympathise with Jagan and vote for him in the elections. I wanted him to become the Chief Minister and so I planned this attack,” reportedly said Srinivas in the NIA questioning.

The accused further added that he sterilized the knife so that the injury wouldn’t harm Jagan much. “Before attacking Jagan, I told him that YCP would win around 160 Assembly seats. Jagan replied with a smile and moved forward. After attacking him, I told him that the injury is small and it’s of no harm. I was a huge fan of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and after his demise, I worshipped Jagan. I desperately wanted Jagan to be the next CM of AP and planned this attack,” revealed the testimonial of Srinivas.

The statement disclosed more details that Srinivas Rao penned a 11 pages letter to Jagan. “TDP government did not perform up to the mark and people of AP were suffering. Jagan looks the only option before the public and I wrote 11 pages letter to Jagan. However, I know the fact that my letter will not reach him. After attacking Jagan, YCP leaders thrashed me. Later when police reached the spot and detained me, I took out the letter and showed it to them,” said Srinivas before NIA.

Srinivas reiterated that he had no intentions of assaulting CM Jagan. “If I had planned to kill Jagan, I would have used a bigger and sharper knife. The place I work had many big knives but preferred the one that is used for rooster fights. I knew that rooster fighter knife would not harm Jagan and also know that I’m committing a big mistake but core purpose was to see Jagan as the Chief Minister,” explained Srinivas.

This testimony of Srinivas shows that this attack has nothing to do with both Telugu Desam and YCP. The accused has a soft corner for Jagan and by hook or crook, he wanted Jagan as the CM of AP. He opted for sympathy factor and it worked!
